I just read an article on why talents are westernizing. What so good about going abroad man... i just love it here. And, i am also not going to think of going to London to study anymore. I once dreamt of going and wanted to ask my uncle.... but i think im not gonna give up Singapore.

One factor of why locals wanna go to western countries is because of the media. They picture the western side very beautifully. From how beautiful Angelina Jolie and how suave Brad Pitt is, to how many of the Multi National Corporations like IKEA or Macdonalds there. However, in reality, do we ever get to experience the so called perfect life they show in desperate housewife? Do we get to see that many beautiful girls like those in America's Next Top Model? Or can we ever afford to adapt to the higher standard of livings there.
Yes, i must agree that in the region ( i mean Asia ) there are many many many people living in poverty. But the media pictures westerners as Bill Gates... all of them wealthy. That can even be reinforced by so many of them going over to Africa to help people over there. A nice example is that Angelina Jolie even adopted her child with the blue mohawk from Cambodia.... Maybe they are just ignorant...( not towards my goddess man.... her lips.... OMG) But, do we know how many people in America itself is living in Poverty? Do we know that almost 5 people die every minute in USA due to the policy where citizens can be armed...and they misuse this guns.... How about the UK ? Isit even able to wait for 5-6 hours just to get medical treatment free? Talk about our polyclinics... the queue is already so dang long and i am sure that we are sometimes fed up with that.

Even National Geographic picture Russia as a place where riches congregate. There was this article about Moscow being the most populated with millionares. Yes, but thats a fact, we can't deny that... But do we ever neglect the poorer counterparts? Of course we do. And we always do. Some news report have stated the even Prostitutes in Russia go to China to look for business... What can we tell from this? Some people in Russia is even poorer than the poorer people in China. ( this may be a sweeping statement).

Luckily, we are just so blessed to be able to be in Singapore. Such a safe place to be in and a rightful place we call home. Supported by strong back up reserves to survive any financial upset, Singapore is so much better than the western counterparts..... The US reserves? what about that? controlled by Bush? wasted to go to war? wth.... those people just know how to waste money. At least what they do here are beneficial to the people.... Lowering the COE prices to $2 and the budget every year lol... how great.

But i cant be just so pessimistic about western countries. They have their fare advantage over us. Landspace, Freedom, Better sceneries, higher mountains, taller people, more pr0n thingys, better sports scenes and coverages...( i must complain that Singapore , wanting to be a sports hub, only spare less than 5 minutes in the news reporting about sport events. I dun even see anything about volleyball, cricket, all those.... All i see is Tennis, Golf, Soccer and Basketball...LOL) , and maybe more Universities that attend to the people, not like Singapore Universities which are so dam competitive... Having their Medicine and Law courses with the same base requirement as Cambridge U.... Its kinda hard. O well, i guess its better to be in a familiar place.
