Its studies, studies and studies for another 2+ months. O levels are approaching and im not feeling the pressure. O my.... Am i too prepared.... or just too lazy to bother....
I am losing my identity....i guess. Are studies pressing their effects on me? I really dun know lol.
It seems i dunno myself well enough. The once confident Ying Tai is doubting himself, can u believe it?
It had been a long time since i updated my blog. Rest assured, it will be a long long one.
National Day Rally.... Baby incentives bla bla bla.... Somethings missed out.... Did PM say anything about protecting the environment? I am quite sure i din hear anything of that sort. Maybe he did, but i was just too deaf to hear. Actually, i quite agree with Timothy. Wait, Social studies trains me not to use "quite". I agree to a large extent! I am going to give a Big NO to the air conditioning of our school hall. Our audi must be air conditioned because its an enclosed area.... furthermore, imagine Tate coming out from English lessons with his hand not any hotter than ice.... What will happen during our o levels.... Will we freeze to death? Research have shown that freezing hands slow down writing speed. We only have 45 minutes to finish 2 essays in SS....
Moreover, the electricty bills of the school can shoot up to more than $10000 just by turning on the air-con during the o level period. For what? Its a lose-lose situation.
Have u ever wondered why there is an increasing trend of people bring jackets to school? Arnt uniforms suppose to be the dominant one? If everyone wears a jacket, whats the use of uniforms? If the air con forces everyone to wear jackets during o levels, what impression will we give to external teachers. Its a problem the school should contemplate about.
I wonder if it is a moment of folly? or that the school is trying to give a better impression on outsiders? I really thought about it after reading Tims blog. The once awesome TK seems to be fading... Actually, i chose the school because i knew that the school cares more about the students well-being rather than the schools packaging. With my t- score of 243 ( yes , 15 pts lesser than tim) , i can really choose to go other schools like CCHMS or AHS. However, it was the warm environment in TK that truly attracted me. Although the school's packaging may be improving, the inner core is not. Stop emphasizing on School Excellence Award or whatsoever.... It just make no sense to me when i no longer feel at home in TK. Maybe im just emotional....
It takes many years to build up a good school. To ruin it, it takes less than the speed of a blinking eye. Luckily, our school still has this strong foundation and will not be so easily ruined.
The reason why i am posting about this is that i dun wanna our school to become another victora ( u know what i mean). Thats a boy school.
My brother graduated from that school with the most boring 4 years he could ever get. That school emphasised so much on its image. As a result, results plunge. They made their own brand of shoes.... made the victora image so prominent. Yes, it looks good on the outside, but the inside is crap( Their results relied on foreign talents.....). I really dun wanna see a school that nurtured me, a school that i have such trust and belief in collapse.
Wow that was a long one. I am not finished... thats only e starting.
1 thing i must say, TK did a great job in organizing the brand new National Day celebrations. First time ever, imitating the actual NDP, NDC was an enormous success. ( my nose did bleed on that day but ITS NOT BECAUSE OF THE DANCE CLUB....) MArching troops bla bla, great perfomances by some CCAs in Tk. Oh yea , Jamie did had bad luck that day. The Tagore Flag broke lol.... how sad.
Olympics opening ceremony really amazed me. I was so freking stunned when i saw it. My eyes never left the tv for 4 hours. 16 days of olympics...... I was in front of the tv for 16 days. How annoying.... i want to study.. but the temptation was just so great....
China was the first country to have actually won 50+ golds ( 52 to be exact) after 1980s. Table Tennis was awesome. The women final match between Zhang Yining and Wang Nan left me speechless.... China is really the inaugural state for Table tennis.
Haiz, ITs TIME FOR THE CLOSING CEReMONY!!! FINALLY, AFTER TODAY., I CAN CONCENTRATE ON MY STUDIES! GREAT HOPES FOR CLOSING CEREMONY!! BYE I GONNA WATCH IT NOW!
